Welcome to the Kiteley Neighborhood! We're a community located in the north central part of Longmont, Colorado. The area that forms the Kiteley Neighborhood was first settled over 100 years ago, but has only recently received an official designation and name as part of the City of Longmont's neighborhood revitalization program and community outreach efforts. The Kiteley Neighborhood extends from Ninth Avenue north to Mountain View and from Main Street east to the Burlington North Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad tracks. (See map.) The name given to the neighborhood comes from the Kiteley family, who were among the early pioneers in the St. Vrain Valley area and one of the first families to build a permanent residence in what would later become our neighborhood.
