Built in the early 1960s in accordance with specifications released by the federal government during the Cold War, this fallout bunker is approx 15 feet underground, concrete encased, with original features: two bunkbeds, freshwater tank, fresh air valve, escape tunnel, and the original homeowners survival supplies. Also included with the house but no longer attached is the original 1500lb blast door, which required a hydraulic system to open/close.
